The idea of providing visiting older adults as leverage of NIKAN AGENCY, which now has an academic route, lit up in our mind when we encountered dear friends' visiting parents eager to enjoy more and spend their time more productively as an individual visitors during the weekdays while their immigrant children are away. Here, we care about visiting older adults' needs, well-being, and successful aging.
We proceed with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG3 and SDG10) based on well-being, equity, diversity, and inclusion. Accordingly, we care about visiting parents' well-being and their right to be provided with travel/leisure activities in NIKAN AGENCY to benefit not only this precious sector of communities but their immigrant children as stakeholders.

ایده نخستین راه اندازی آژانس تفریحی- گردشگری نیکان زمانی مطرح شد که با پدران و مادرانی روبرو شدیم که به دیدار فرزندان مهاجرشان در کانادا آمده بودند. نکته تامل برانگیز برای ما این بود که این والدین نازنین به دلیل مشغله کاری و سبک زندگی فرزندان مهاجرشان، بیشتر در تعطیلات و آخر هفته ها سرگرمی و تفریح داشتند و مشتاق بودند تا در طول روزهای هفته بیشتر با جامعه میزبان ارتباط داشته و همچنین از تفریحات وسرگرمی های بیشتری نیزبرخوردار باشند
اکنون، ما در آژانس نیکان که ایده اجرایی آن کاملا علمی ست و برپایه یافته های پژوهشی پیاده شده است بر آنیم تا همسو با اهداف توسعه پایدار شماره سه و ده سازمان ملل متحد، و با تاکید بر تندرستی افراد سالمند و حقوق برابر آنان در برخورداری از تفریحات و امکان سرگرمی، با سرویس دهی به این افراد نه تنها در تندرستی ایشان در درازمدت بکوشیم، بلکه فرزندان آنان را نیز از مزایای مستقیم و غیرمستقیم این سرویس دهی بهره مند نماییم
